Xbox 360 Registers Biggest Black Friday in Its History, Outsells PS3 3 to 1

Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system kicked off the holidays with record- breaking console sales on one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year in the U.S. Retailers reported Xbox 360 console sales over the Black Friday weekend were on pace to beat previous years, outselling the PlayStation 3 by a three-to-one ratio and estimating a 25 percent increase from Xbox 360 Black Friday sales figures from 2007.

Warhammer Online: Patch 1.0.6 Arrives 12/2/08

"The update you’ve all been waiting for, 1.0.6, is almost here! We wanted to thank everyone who tested and provided feedback on this update’s content.
On Tuesday, 12/2/08 all servers will be brought offline to begin the update. North American servers will be brought down at 6:30AM EST with Oceanic servers to follow at 9:00AM EST.
This is our biggest update yet! It’s chock-full of exciting career changes and heralds the debut of the highly anticipated Black Guard and Knight of the Blazing Sun careers. If you’ve finished the Heavy Metal event and have opened your Heavy Metal Chest, then you will be able to play a Black Guard and Knight of the Blazing Sun when this patch goes live (before anyone else!). For those of you who did not complete the Heavy Metal event, don’t fret! You, too, will be able to play these two new careers starting next week.

Battlefield Heroes’ Changes are Largely About Accessibility And Fun
Work continues on Battlefield Heroes despite the recent closure of the game’s beta, and producer Aleksander Grondal recently talked it up with Gamasutra. Grondal isn’t a Battlefield developer veteran, instead having previously worked on Anarchy Online and Dreamfall at Funcom. As such, he brings a different mentality to the team working on Heroes, which he claims is a mixture of half newcomers to the series and half previous Battlefield developers.

Microsoft: Xbox 360 Outsold PS3 Over Weekend
In a sign that the Xbox 360 might outsell the PlayStation 3 for the third month in a row, Microsoft said it outsold Sony’s PlayStation 3 by a three-to-one ratio over the Black Friday shopping weekend.
Holiday sales are critical for video game console makers because they account for the majority of console sales each year.

Is Uncharted 2, officially charted, set to step out at GDC 09?

"I don’t like dealing in rumors and we’ve seen a lot of those types of people come and go now Surfer Girl, Games Blow, Skater Boy and a host of others. But I have word from a pretty damn good source that Uncharted 2 is set to make a playable appearance at GDC 09′ coming up and will be officially unveiled by a major publication in December. Also, word has it from ol’ buddy that at the VGA’s the game will have a new teaser trailer for the game leading inward.
Set in the Snowy Mountains of a yet to be disclosed area, he said Uncharted 2 is going to be 50% uncharted, 25% Cliff Hanger and 25% Metal Gear Solid 4. He’s seen it in action and it looks brilliant.
Again, nothing more than that… but it sounds logical. Ol’ buddy said it won’t be the only game Naughtydog shows off next year, either. Jak perhaps? "

How to unlock Halo 3 Recon armor with Achievements
Destructoid writes: "Halo 3’s extra special Spartan Recon multiplayer armor will finally be available to any player willing to crank out some Achievement points in both Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST. The latest issue of Game Informer spells out the process involved. First you’ll need to complete the four Vidmaster Challenge Achievements included in the last update. After that, you’ll have to complete the three additional Vidmaster Achievements in ODST.
If you aren’t an avid Halo 3 fan, you may recall the Recon armor from the news generated by it. Bungie only gives it out to those it deems cool enough to have it. This bunch is usually composed of awesome players and journalists. A few isolated Xbox Live account hackings have occurred because of the rarity of the virtual item.
At least now those who have the armor don’t have to look over their shoulder constantly because of it. For those of you who are dying for it, you’ll finally get your shot. It just might take a good deal of (legal) effort on your part. "
