Snake is one of the oldest arcade formulas around — it's been on graphing calculators, feature phones, and now browsers. You steer a line that grows every time it eats, and the only real rule is simple: don't run into the walls, and don't run into yourself.

There's no opponent and no randomness beyond where the next dot appears — every crash is a steering mistake, which makes it a satisfying game to slowly get better at. The board fills up as the snake grows, so the same open grid gets tighter to navigate the longer a run goes on.

Each pickup also nudges the pace up slightly, so early moves are forgiving and late-game moves demand real precision — all inside one continuous, unbroken run.

How to play

  1. Press New game to drop a three-segment snake in the middle of the board, already moving right.
  2. Use arrow keys, WASD, the on-screen D-pad, or a swipe on the board — whichever is closest to hand.
  3. Each glowing dot adds a segment to your tail and speeds the game up by a small amount.
  4. Each glowing dot adds a segment to your tail and speeds the game up by a small amount.
  5. Hitting a wall or your own tail ends the run. Your score is compared against your saved best automatically.
Pro tip: hug the outer edge and circle rather than cutting through the middle — it leaves you an escape route once the snake gets long.
